
THE state weather bureau on Tuesday said that only one tropical cyclone will be formed o enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in January.
PAGASA said it did not detect any tropical storm inside or outside PAR as of the moment.
It is possible for the tropical cyclone to make landfall in Eastern Visayas or the CARAGA region, but also has the chance to deviate from its path.
Amihan or the Northeast monsoon affects Northern and Central Luzon on Tuesday while the easterlies influence other parts of the country.
Rains were expected in Northern Luzon, Aurora, Quezon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Caraga region, Davao region, Northern Mindanao and Soccsksargen earlier in the morning, according MetraWeather.
Rains may also be expected in other parts of the country in the afternoon.
Heavy to intense rains that may lead to flooding or landslides are also expected.
Rains are anticipated in some parts of Metro Manila.
