However, she emphasized that these checks should be comprehensive and extend beyond elected officials to include appointed executives and their alleged “dummies.” Duterte believes a thorough investigation is necessary to ensure accountability and transparency within the government.
Duterte’s statement underscores the importance of scrutinizing not only those directly elected by the people but also individuals appointed to key positions, as well as those who may be acting as fronts for illicit activities.
