REPRESENTATIVE Erwin Tulfo has expressed gratitude to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) First Division following their dismissal of a petition seeking his disqualification from the May 2025 senatorial race.
The petition was dismissed due to the petitioner’s failure to comply with Comelec procedures.
In a statement released today, Rep. Tulfo lauded the decision as “just and fair,” emphasizing that it reinforces his belief in the integrity of the electoral process and the importance of due process. He further praised the Comelec for its independence and impartiality, stating that the ruling highlights the Commission’s commitment to justice and maintaining the credibility of democratic institutions.
“Una, nais ko pong magpasalamat sa Poong Maykapal. Taos-puso rin akong nagpapasalamat sa 1st Division ng Commission on Elections para sa makatarungan at patas na desisyon nito sa petisyon para ma-disqualify ako bilang kandidato sa May 2025 Senatorial race,” Tulfo said.
The representative reaffirmed his dedication to public service, noting that the dismissal allows him to focus his efforts on serving the Filipino people and advocating for their welfare in Congress. He concluded by thanking his supporters for their unwavering trust and support.
