SENATOR Raffy Tulfo expressed serious concerns over the threat posed by cable wires hanging loosely from street posts in Metro Manila and other areas to the safety of pedestrians, noting that a national direction is needed to address the situation.
In a privilege speech on Wednesday, Tulfo also emphasized the lack of accountability on the part of utility companies that own the wires. “If there are adjustments that we need to make in our laws and put the responsibility on those businesses making use of these posts and cables, I know we could work on these together,” Tulfo said.
