MAGBIBIGAY ang Tingog party-list na pinamumunuan ni Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez ng P3 milyong halaga ng medical assistance para sa biopsy test ng 200 pasyente sa ilalim ng Lung Ambition Alliance.
Lumagda ang Tingog party-list sa isang Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) kasama ang AstraZeneca Philippines para sa isang programa na naglalayong ma-detect ng maaga ang lung cancer at bigyan ang tyansa ang mga pasyente na labanan ang nakamamatay na sakit na ito.
“This MOU represents the power of partnership and collective action. Government, civil society, the healthcare industry, and the international community coming together with one goal – to beat lung cancer,” ani Rep. Romualdez.
Nagpasalamat si Rep. Romualdez sa mga nagtulong-tulong upang maging posible ang programa na lalaban sa lung cancer.
“We have a difficult road ahead, but today we take an important step forward. Let us continue working to ensure Filipinos have the chance to live healthy, cancer-free lives,” dagdag pa ni Rep. Romualdez.
Ang MOU ay nilagdaan nina Rep. Romualdez, Tingog Rep. Jude Acidre, AstraZeneca Philippines Country President Lotis Ramin, AstraZeneca Philippines Medical Director Cyril Tolosa, Cancer Coalition Philippines Senior VP Menchie Auste, Swedish Ambassador Annika Thunborg, at British Embassy Health Advisor Liz Bautista.
Sa ilalim ng kasunduan, bibigyan ng libreng biopsy test ang mga pasyente upang matukoy kung mayroong lung cancer ang mga ito para agad itong matugunan.
“We know that together we can deliver meaningful improvements, and with like minded patient-centric partners such as TINGOG and everyone here with us, we look forward not just to improving outcomes but to revolutionizing innovation and holistic patient care for more and more of our countrymen,” sabi naman ni Ramin.
Sinabi naman ni Acidre na sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ay mabibigyan ng suporta ang mga pasyenteng may kanser.

Ang lung cancer ay isa sa nangungunang sanhi ng pagkamatay sa bansa.
