Safe travels this Christmas: PNP tips for holiday exodus

admin December 21, 2024

WITH millions of Filipinos traveling for the Christmas holidays, the Philippine National Police (PNP) offers vital safety advice.

The PNP has deployed approximately 40,000 officers to secure transportation hubs and places of worship nationwide.

While the PNP is working to ensure a smooth and safe journey, travelers are urged to take precautions. Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo recommends saving the contact number of the nearest police station for quick access in emergencies.

Travelers using public transport are advised to keep a close watch on their belongings and children.

Motorists are reminded to check their vehicles’ condition and to never drive under the influence of alcohol.

The PNP is collaborating with other agencies to maintain a strong security presence throughout the holiday period.
