LEYTE Representative Ferdinand Martin Romualdez is ready to face any complaints against him, spokesperson Atty. Elaine Atienza said on July 24.
“As we have stated before, Rep. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez is prepared to face any complaint brought against him,” Atienza said, emphasizing that the congressman has nothing to hide and trusts the legal process to prove his innocence.
The spokesperson added that Romualdez is confident he will be vindicated if given a fair fight and impartial judgment based solely on facts and evidence.
“We believe that under a fair contest and fair judgment grounded on evidence, Rep. Romualdez will be able to prove his side of the story,” she stated. This assurance underscores the lawmaker’s commitment to transparency and accountability in public service.
Atienza also appealed to the public to allow due process to take its course and let the evidence decide the outcome, rather than drawing conclusions prematurely.
“We only ask the public to let the process prevail and let the evidence make the decision,” she urged. The statement comes amid renewed scrutiny and questions surrounding the lawmaker’s dealings, with Romualdez’s camp maintaining that truth and legality will ultimately prevail.
