DESPITE the challenges brought by days of nonstop rain, hope remains strong in Olongapo City as Zambales 1st District Representative Jay Khonghun visited flood-hit communities to personally check on affected residents and extend much-needed support.
Rep. Khonghun conducted a site inspection earlier today in the barangays of Old Cabalan, Sta. Rita, New Ilalim, and New Kababae, where many families were forced to evacuate after rising floodwaters submerged their homes.
He led the distribution of relief goods with other local and national government agencies offering not just food and supplies but also a message of reassurance.
“Hindi namin kayo pababayaan,” Rep. Khonghun told evacuees, vowing continued government assistance as the city works toward recovery.
His presence and swift response brought a sense of comfort and unity among residents, many of whom expressed gratitude for the immediate attention and support.
