Rep. Gatchalian pormal nang nagbitiw sa Kongreso

OPISYAL nang nagbitiw sa tungkulin si Valenzuela City 1st District Rep. Rex Gatchalian upang pagtuunan ng pansin ang bagong posisyon bilang Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) secretary.

Inilabas ni House Speaker and Leyte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez ang resignation letter ni Gatchalian ngayong Lunes.

Sa kanyang pagbitiw, iniwan din ni Gatchalian ang posisyon bilang chairperson ng House Committee on local government.

“Dear Speaker Romualdez, please accept this letter as my official resignation as Representative of the 1st District of Valenzuela City and as Chairman of the Committee on Local Government effective January 31,” saad ng sulat ni Gatchalian na may petsang Pebrero 1.

“It was an honor and privilege to have served as a member of the House of Representatives in the 19th Congress and as Chairman of the Committee on Local Government under your able leadership,” ayon dito.

Ilang mambabatas, kabilang si Romualdez, ang umayon sa appointment ni Gatchalian at sinabing magandang desisyon ang ginawa ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sa pagtatalaga sa isang mahusay at maaasahan na lider.
