A DIALYSIS center in Binondo, Manila, is now fully-operational with strong support from the office of Manila Congressman Atty. Joel R. Chua and the city government of Manila.
Rep. Joel Chua said the 23-machine medical facility will be open to, among others, indigent patients availing of free dialysis services subsidized by PhilHealth. For now, it can accommodate up to 46 patients per day and is expected to increase the capacity soon.
Medical referrals from the office of Rep. Chua are accepted at Passion Healthcare Philippines, Inc. in Binondo.
“We made sure Passion Healthcare complies with the Department of Health and PhilHealth standards on accreditation and quality standards for that kind of healthcare facility,” Chua said.
The dialysis center in Barangay 288 in Binondo is owned and operated by Passion Healthcare Philippines, which has had similar centers in other areas also serving indigents availing of free dialysis paid for by PhilHealth.
To avail of dialysis services, indigent patients in the Third District of the City of Manila will be attended to at the field offices where they are interviewed and assessed. There will be forms to fill in and basic documentation needed as per regulations of the DOH and PhilHealth.
