THE Philippine Air Force (PAF) reported on Tuesday that one of its FA-50 fighter jets went missing during a tactical night operation.
According to PAF spokesperson Colonel Maria Consuelo Castillo, the aircraft lost communication with the rest of its flight shortly before reaching its target area early Tuesday morning.
Despite repeated attempts to re-establish contact, the other aircraft returned to Mactan, Cebu without locating the missing FA-50.
The PAF is currently conducting a comprehensive search and rescue operation, employing all available resources to locate the missing jet and its crew.
Colonel Castillo stated that the safe return of the aircrew is the PAF’s top priority, and she expressed hope for a swift resolution, asking for prayers during this critical time.
