THE #83 OFW Party List is set to return to the House of Representatives for a second term, based on the latest Pulse Asia survey conducted from April 20 to 24, 2025.
According to the survey released Monday (May 5), the OFW Party List secured 0.87% of the votes among respondents with a party-list preference. This qualifies the group for one seat under the party-list seat allocation rules of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
In a separate survey conducted by WR Numero Research from April 23 to 30, 2025 – partially overlapping with Pulse Asia’s fieldwork – the #83 OFW Party List was likewise projected to secure one congressional seat, reinforcing its standing among voters.
Both surveys provide critical insight into voter preferences as the May 2025 midterm elections draw near.
However, political observers project a higher ranking for #83 OFW Party List come May 12 as both surveys do not include overseas voters, bulk of which form the constituency of #83 OFW Party List.
Currently represented by Rep. Marissa “Del Mar” Magsino, the #83 OFW Party List has focused its legislative agenda on the welfare and protection of Overseas Filipino Workers, reintegration assistance, anti-illegal recruitment, and anti-human trafficking measures. With reelection in sight, the party is aiming to continue advancing the interests of OFWs, Overseas Filipinos, seafarers, and their families in the upcoming 20th Congress.
