THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Saturday, August 9, 2025, that a combined total of 9,530,350 individuals have been affected by the southwest monsoon (Habagat) and the combined effects of tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong.
This translates to 2,599,712 families. Of these, 7,524 families (28,703 individuals) sought refuge in 273 evacuation centers, while 12,004 families (40,729 individuals) received assistance outside of evacuation centers.
The reported death toll from the combined weather disturbances stands at 37, with five deaths validated and 32 pending validation. There are 32 reported injuries, 24 validated and eight pending validation. Eight individuals are reported missing; four cases are validated, and four remain under investigation.
The NDRRMC also reported damage to 815 road sections and 43 bridges. A total of 88,492 houses were damaged across Regions 1, 2, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), 3, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, 5, 6, Northern Mindanao (NIR), 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, Caraga, and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Agricultural damage is estimated at ₱3,159,733,667.11, representing lost production, affecting 98,307 farmers and fisherfolk. Infrastructure damage is pegged at ₱16,506,257,464.1, affecting Regions 1, 2, CAR, 3, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, 5, 6, NIR, 10, and 12.
The NDRRMC estimates that 1,756,525 families require assistance, totaling ₱1,289,345,766.17. To date, the government has provided aid to 1,398,874 families.
