THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has officially requested the assistance of motorists who traveled along Kennon Road in Tuba, Benguet, on December 18, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
This appeal is specifically directed towards those who may have captured relevant footage on their dashcams during that period. The NBI hopes that these recordings could provide crucial visual evidence that could shed light on the circumstances surrounding the death of former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral.
Investigators believe that the dashcam recordings could potentially capture details that might have been missed by eyewitnesses or other forms of evidence collected at the scene.
The footage could reveal vehicle movements, unusual activities, or any other pertinent information that could assist in piecing together the events leading up to Cabral’s death. The NBI emphasizes that any footage, regardless of how seemingly insignificant it may appear, could prove valuable in their efforts to uncover the truth and ensure a thorough and impartial investigation.
The NBI is urging motorists who possess such recordings to voluntarily come forward and share their footage with the investigating team.
They have assured the public that all submitted materials will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and used solely for the purpose of the investigation.
The bureau has also provided contact information and specific instructions on how to submit the dashcam recordings, making it as easy as possible for individuals to cooperate and contribute to the pursuit of justice in this high-profile case.
