THE Department of Education (DepEd) has commenced the distribution of year-end incentives to its one million qualified employees, providing a significant financial boost as the holiday season approaches.
The incentives include the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), and Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) benefits, all aimed at recognizing and rewarding the hard work and dedication of teaching and non-teaching personnel throughout the year.
This initiative underscores DepEd’s commitment to supporting its workforce and fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
Under this distribution, teaching and non-teaching personnel are slated to receive a P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) and a P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), acknowledging their contributions to the education sector.
Additionally, non-teaching staff will receive a P10,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive, while contract-based workers are set to receive up to P7,000 in gratuity pay. These incentives are designed to provide financial relief and demonstrate appreciation for the diverse roles within the DepEd system, ensuring that all employees are recognized for their efforts.
The release of these incentives will be carried out in two tranches, beginning this month, to ensure a smooth and timely distribution process.
This phased approach is intended to minimize any potential logistical challenges and allow employees to receive their benefits as efficiently as possible. DepEd officials have expressed their hope that these incentives will not only provide financial assistance but also serve as a morale booster for employees as they continue their vital work in shaping the future of the nation’s youth.
