PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is reportedly reviewing his Cabinet members amidst rumors of a major reshuffle.
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro confirmed that President Marcos is evaluating his Cabinet members, stating, “Every time the President needs to evaluate whether his secretaries, Cabinet members are doing well for the government, for the people.”
Castro addressed speculation surrounding the potential resignations of Presidential Security Command (PSC) Maj. Gen. Jesus Nelson Morales and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Ivan John Uy, emphasizing that no personnel changes have been confirmed.
However, potential changes are expected at the PCO under the leadership of newly appointed Secretary Jay Ruiz, who recently took his oath of office before President Marcos.
Castro confirmed that Ruiz has indicated upcoming changes within the Palace media office. “He said that there will be changes, and some may be retained, some may leave. So, we’ll wait for Secretary Jay Ruiz’s orders,” Castro stated.
