FIRST District of Batangas Representative Leandro Leviste has formally written to Senator Erwin Tulfo, chairperson of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, expressing his intent to present relevant information regarding the panel’s ongoing investigation into the flood control fund scandal.
In his message, Leviste conveyed his readiness to cooperate fully and contribute to the fact‑finding process being conducted by the committee.
“I remain available to assist in any investigation on flood control projects and other projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways,” Leviste stated in his letter. He explained that he had previously tried to obtain Tulfo’s contact information through his mother but was unsuccessful, prompting him to instead send his communication via the official email address listed on the Senate website to ensure it reached the committee chair.
This development adds another potential source of information to the high‑profile inquiry, which has already uncovered allegations of kickbacks, irregular procurement, and misuse of public funds across various infrastructure projects. Tulfo, who has reorganized and reopened the probe, welcomed the offer of assistance, noting that any evidence or testimony from concerned officials and individuals will be vital in establishing the truth and ensuring accountability for those involved in the alleged corruption.
