OIL control experts from the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) will help the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and other concerned agencies in the ongoing oil spill response operations in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
According to Ambassador of Japan in the Philippines Kazuhiko Koshikawa, Japan will send a disaster relief expert team on oil removal and control to augment the country’s manpower and assets after MT Princess Empress with 800,000 liters of industrial fuel oil submerged on 28 February 2023.
