THE Highway Patrol Group of the Philippine National Police (HPG-PNP) announced on Monday that one of the luxury vehicles seized from former lawmaker Zaldy Co was found to have a fake license plate.
According to HPG-PNP Director Brigadier General Hansel Marantan, a macro-etching examination of Co’s Ferrari revealed that the vehicle was registered to another individual with the same model. Authorities are currently determining whether Co or the registered driver is the owner of the fake plate.
The HPG-PNP is coordinating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to file additional charges against the former lawmaker. Police are also continuing their search for ten other luxury cars belonging to Co.
