Hindi pa tapos ang laban: Brian Poe carries on FPJ’s legacy of service

admin October 14, 2024

"Ang aking serbisyo ay walang katapusan," (My service to you is endless), a phrase often uttered by his grandfather during his 2014 presidential campaign, echoes in Brian Poe's commitment.

THE legacy of Fernando Poe Jr., the ‘King of Filipino Movies,’ continues to live on through his grandson, Brian Poe Lamanzares.

The first nominee of the FPJ Panday Bayanihan partylist, Brian Poe, recently submitted a certificate of candidacy (COC) at the Commission on Election (Comelec) in Intramuros, Manila, vowing to carry on his grandfather’s legacy of social service advocacy.

“Ang aking serbisyo ay walang katapusan,” (My service to you is endless), a phrase often uttered by his grandfather during his 2014 presidential campaign, echoes in Brian Poe’s commitment. He sees the FPJ Panday Bayanihan partylist as a continuation of the legacy of his grandfather, who tirelessly championed the cause of the marginalized sector. This commitment, he says, is also aligned with his mother, Senator Grace Poe’s, advocacy.

The FPJ Panday partylist aims to directly serve the majority of citizens who often face a lack of social services and development welfare. This includes drivers, youth, women, farmers, laborers, and informal workers – the very people who FPJ dedicated his life to helping.

Senator Poe, a strong supporter of her son’s political aspirations, accompanied Brian Poe to the Comelec office. They were joined by Mark Patton, the second nominee, and Hiyas Dolor, the third nominee of the FPJ Panday Bayanihan partylist.

With their COC submitted, the FPJ Panday Bayanihan partylist is ready to embark on their mission. Brian Poe’s commitment to continue his grandfather’s legacy of service, coupled with the partylist’s focus on the marginalized sector, promises a new chapter in the fight for social justice and development in the Philippines.
