THE government will begin distributing a P63.695 billion midyear bonus to its employees starting this Thursday, May 15, 2025.
The bonus, equivalent to one month’s salary, will benefit civilian, military, and uniformed personnel.
The budget allocation includes P47.587 billion for civilian employees and P16.108 billion for military and uniformed personnel.
Agencies and local government units received their respective allocations as early as January to prepare for the disbursement.
Eligibility for the bonus requires employees to have worked for at least four months from July 1, 2024, to May 15, 2025, to be continuously employed by the government as of May 15, 2025, and to have received a satisfactory performance rating.
The midyear bonus covers all government employees, including permanent, temporary, contractual, and elected officials, across all branches of government, as well as military and uniformed personnel from various agencies.
The government aims for a smooth and efficient distribution process to ensure all eligible employees receive their bonuses on time.
