VICE President Sara Duterte’s satisfaction and trust ratings have slightly decreased following her impeachment bid in the House of Representatives, according to the latest survey by Tangere.
The mobile-based survey, conducted from February 16-17 among 2,400 respondents nationwide, showed Duterte’s satisfaction rating dipping from 40.6 percent to 40 percent. Her trust rating also saw a minor decline, falling from 47 percent to 46.5 percent.
Senate President Francis Escudero, meanwhile, experienced a second consecutive month of declining ratings, with both dissatisfaction and distrust among respondents increasing. Despite this downward trend, Escudero remains the highest-rated top government official in the country, according to the Tangere survey.
In contrast, Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo’s trust and satisfaction ratings continued their upward trajectory for the third consecutive month. The survey suggests this positive trend reflects growing public awareness and understanding of his role.
The Tangere survey utilized a mobile application to gather data from a geographically diverse sample across the Philippines. The slight shifts in public perception of these key figures highlight the dynamic nature of public opinion and its responsiveness to major political events.
