FORMER Justice secretary-turned Mamamayang Liberal party-list Rep. Leila de Lima and 2025 Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Fr. Flaviano “Flavie” Villanueva, SVD, is set to file a cyberlibel complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against lawyer Levi Baligod and 18 alleged former marines.
According to a media advisory, the complaint will be filed at 9 a.m. Monday (March 9) at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office in Filinvest Cyberzone along Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City.
De Lima and Villanueva are expected to lodge the complaint against Baligod and the 18 alleged ex-marines over statements that prompted the filing of the cyberlibel case.
A separate perjury complaint against the same group of alleged ex-marines will also be filed later in the morning.
The perjury complaint is scheduled to be filed at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Department of Justice (DOJ) along Padre Faura Street in Manila.
The filing of the complaints is expected to be attended by De Lima and Villanueva.
Media organizations have been invited to cover the filing of the cases.
