THE ARTE Partylist, advocating for the rights of Filipino creative workers, is experiencing a surge in support across Calabarzon and the Bicol Region. This growth is fueled by collaborations with key individuals and organizations in the region.
In Quezon province, former barangay captain El Kap Layosa Jr. and the Ka-pARTE Quezon Volunteers Solid Supporters held consultations and meetings with leaders from 42 barangays in Tagkawayan, also engaging with local religious groups to share the party’s platform.
The party’s outreach extended to Bicol, securing the backing of Bicolano Visual Artists, led by Renz Art Gallery. In Naga City, media support from Bong Franco facilitated the dissemination of information and engagement with key personalities and media outlets in Naga City and Camarines Sur. The ARTE Partylist also connected with the United Architects of the Bikol Region, led by Richard Rico, and political leaders in the region.
Cathy Bariga, Secretary General of ARTE Partylist, addressed the United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA)-Bicol University Chapter, sharing the party’s vision for empowering creative sectors, local communities, and sustainable development. Bariga expressed excitement about the party’s focus on nurturing the creative industries and community engagement.
The party’s growing support base also includes the Art Association of the Philippines (under President Fidel M. Sarmiento), leaders in Tanay, Rizal (under Mr. Jo Florendo), and the group “Ang Tunay na Tinig ng Magsasaka” (under CEO Daisy Duran). This expanding network signals a significant boost for the ARTE Partylist’s campaign.
