Akbayan releases SALNs, urges lawmaker transparency

The Akbayan Reform Bloc, led by Rep. Chel Diokno, released their Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALNs) on September 1, 2025, as a commitment to transparency and accountability in public service.

In a statement released by Diokno’s office, the Akbayan Reform Bloc emphasized the need for concrete actions to rebuild public trust in government.

They stated that disclosing and regularly publishing their SALNs is more than just compliance, but a demonstration of their commitment to openness and honesty.

The Akbayan Reform Bloc is urging fellow lawmakers, particularly those in the House of Representatives, to follow suit and release their SALNs as well.

They believe that this collective effort is essential to strengthening democracy and restoring the public’s faith in their elected officials.
