AGRI party-list Rep. Wilbert Lee welcomed the appointment of Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. as the new DA Secretary.
In a statement, Lee said “We hope that under his leadership he will be able to continue the programs and projects implemented by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to develop our country’s agricultural sector.”
“Naniniwala po tayo na sa nakalipas na mahigit isang taon, meron nang magagandang hakbang ang administrasyon sa pagpapaunlad at pagbibigay ng kinakailangang suporta sa agrikultura. Pero napakarami at napakabigat pa rin ng mga hamon na kinakaharap ng sektor. Umaasa tayo na sa pamumuno ni Sec. Laurel, mananatili ang pagtutok dito ng gobyerno para tuluyang matugunan ang deka-dekadang mga problema ng mga kababayan nating dito nakasalalay ang kabuhayan,” said the solon.
He added that they look forward to working with Laurel in championing the causes and easing the plight of our agricultural workers.
“ Winner Tayo Lahat sa tagumpay ni Sec. Laurel at ng buong sektor ng agrikultura,” he added.
