24th BPSF rolls out P1B in programs, services, aid to over 120,000 Caviteños

admin September 27, 2024

THE Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. in Cavite is rolling out starting today about P1 billion worth of government programs, services and cash aid to more than 120,000 Caviteños for the two-day event.

Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez said the BPSF, a flagship program of President Marcos Jr., has continued to provide direct services and relief to millions of Filipinos in the 24 areas that have been visited by the service caravan to date.

The event, hosted by the Revillas led by Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla and Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado Revilla, spearheaded by Speaker Romualdez, brought together 65 government agencies, delivering 235 essential programs and services to over 120,000 Caviteños.

“Ang Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair ay patunay na walang maiiwan sa Bagong Pilipinas ng ating Pangulong BBM. Dito, mabilis, maayos, maginhawa at masaya ang serbisyong hatid natin sa bawat Pilipino,” Speaker Romualdez, leader of the 300-plus-strong House of Representatives, said.

His words resonated with thousands of Caviteños who received much-needed government assistance during the fair, as it provided about P1 billion worth of services and assistance, including P451 million in cash aid and the distribution of 255,500 kilos of rice to beneficiaries across the province.

“Ang tagumpay ng Serbisyo Fair ay isang halimbawa ng ating pagkakaisa para tiyakin na maramdaman ng bawat Pilipino ang presensya ng pamahalaan,” Speaker Romualdez said.

Key government agencies, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), participated in the event.

DOLE’s TUPAD program provided short-term employment to many local residents, while TESDA’s scholarship program offered educational and training opportunities to Caviteños.

“Sa pamamagitan ng mga programang ito, natutulungan natin ang ating mga kababayan na makabangon at makahanap ng trabaho o kabuhayan,” Speaker Romualdez added.

Speaker Romualdez reiterated the importance of unity in governance, stressing, “The BPSF is a concrete example of how we can achieve more when we work together. Sa pagkakaisa ng lahat, mas mabilis nating nadadala ang serbisyo ng gobyerno sa bawat tahanan.”

He expressed his gratitude to local officials and representatives for their support in ensuring the event’s success.

Among the key programs highlighted were the Commission on Higher and Technical Education (CHED) Tulong Dunong scholarships, which were awarded to students, and DSWD’s Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) payouts, which benefited 70,000 individuals.

These payouts will continue across Cavite, with more scheduled to receive assistance in the coming weeks.

“Dito sa Bagong Pilipinas, walang maiiwan. Patuloy tayong magbibigay ng tulong at serbisyo sa bawat sulok ng bansa,” Speaker Romualdez remarked.

The Cavite BPSF is part of a nationwide initiative started by Speaker Romualdez, with plans to visit all 82 provinces. He said that 23 previous BPSF events have delivered over P13 billion in aid to 2.8 million families.

“We will not stop until every Filipino feels the presence of our government through services that directly impact their lives,” he assured.

In addition to the government services, a Pagkakaisa Concert will be held at the NOMO Parking Grounds in Bacoor, drawing thousands of Caviteños to celebrate the success of the fair.

The festive atmosphere underscored the government’s commitment to serving the public.

Speaker Romualdez was particularly thankful to the volunteers and participating agencies that made the event possible.

“The success of the BPSF in Cavite is a step closer to achieving our goal – an inclusive government that leaves no Filipino behind,” he said.

As the BPSF continues its mission, Speaker Romualdez looks forward to replicating its success in other parts of the country.

“Magkaisa tayong lahat para sa isang Bagong Pilipinas, at sama-sama nating iparamdam sa bawat Pilipino ang malasakit at serbisyong handog ng pamahalaan,” he affirmed.
