VETERAN radio commentator Percival Mabasa, popularly known as Percy Lapid, was shot dead on Monday night in Las Piñas City.
According to Las Piñas City Police, Lapid was gunned down by two armed and unidentified suspects at the gate of Santa Cecila Subdivision along Aria St., barangay Talon Dos.
Lapid, a known critic of former president Rodrigo Duterte and President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., has a radio show on DWBL 1242 called Lapid Fire.
Lapid was on board his Toyota Innova on his way home when ambushed by a suspect on a motorcycle while the other was on board a Toyota Fortuner.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Cacas said.
