Planned power outages to hit Metro Manila, nearby provinces this week

Metrosundaily June 1, 2025

MERALCO announced Sunday that several areas in Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Bulacan will experience power interruptions this week due to scheduled maintenance work.

The outages are planned to upgrade and improve electricity facilities.

In Valenzuela City’s Lawang Bato district, electricity will be cut from 11 p.m. on June 1 to 4 a.m. on June 2. This disruption is necessary for the upgrading of facilities along Mulawinan Street.

The affected areas include portions of ITC Compound Road, Malinis Road, Mulawinan Street, and several businesses and schools in the vicinity.

A full list of affected areas has been provided by Meralco.

Meanwhile, parts of Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City will experience a power outage on June 4 from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. This interruption is related to the energization of new facilities along 25th Street in Bonifacio Global City.

Specific buildings and areas affected during this period have also been detailed in Meralco’s announcement.

Meralco advises residents in affected areas to prepare for the scheduled outages and take necessary precautions. Further details, including specific affected areas and times, are available on Meralco’s official website and social media channels.
