The suspect is allegedly working for a Chinese drug personality known only by the alias "Lim" who is openly distributing illegal drugs in NCR and nearby areas.
OPERATIVES of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNPDEG) together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized illegal drugs amounting to P102 million and arrested a suspect on Monday dawn at Baesa Road, Caloocan City.
Citing the report from the PDEG, PNP Chief Police General Dionardo B Carlos identified the suspect as Randy Rafael, alias “RR”, 42, and a resident of Pasay City.
The suspect was arrested through the joint buy-bust operation of PDEA NCR, PNPDEG-Special Operations Unit, NCRPO Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, NCRPO Regional Intelligence Division, CIDG-NCR Northern Field Unit, and Caloocan CPS.
Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were 15 pieces of Chinese Teabag containing more or less 1 kilogram of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride also known as shabu with an estimated amount of P102 million, two pieces one thousand (P1,000.00) bill dusted with ultraviolet powder incorporated of ten (10) bundle of one thousand pesos bill as boodle money; and one (1) unit of a basic cellular phone.
“Since my first day as the Top Cop, I will make sure that we will continue to intensify our campaign against illegal drug peddlers and put them all behind bars,” Carlos said.
“Based on initial investigation, the said suspect is working for a Chinese drug personality known only by the alias “Lim” who is openly distributing illegal drugs in NCR and nearby areas. Ipinag-utos ko ang malalim pang imbestigasyon at operasyon upang mahuli itong si alias Lim at matigil ang kanilang mga masasamang gawain,” Carlos added.
The suspect is now detained at PDEG-SOU, Camp Crame for further investigation and filing of cases for Violation of R.A. 9165.
