THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) announced the arrest of suspects in the disappearance and killing of a female police officer and her eight-year-old son on Friday night.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District has taken into custody three suspects: two men in their 40s and a 29-year-old woman, who were arrested in different parts of the city. Police have also recovered a silver SUV allegedly used to transport and dump the bodies of Police Senior Master Sergeant Diane Marie Mollenido and her son John Ysmael.
Mollenido’s body was found in Pulilan, Bulacan, a few days before her son’s was discovered in Victoria, Tarlac. Authorities have yet to disclose the names of the suspects but said that a car agent — reportedly the last to see Mollenido and her son alive on January 16 — is a person of interest in the case.
