RAIL passengers can expect a more comfortable and convenient travel experience as the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) continues to restore the facilities of the Light Rail Transit Authority – LRT2.
As of 17 May 2022, 66 of the LRT-2 line’s 72 escalators and 36 of the rail line’s 40 elevators are operational.
The rehabilitation and repair of escalators and elevators in the 13 stations of the LRT-2 is a continuing effort of the agency to provide better access to facilities, especially for the elderly, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
In line with the covenant of Secretary Art Tugade with the Filipino people to work until the last day of President Rodrigo Duterte’s term, the DOTr continues to deliver its mandate of a more comfortable and convenient life for the Filipino people through improved mobility and connectivity.
There may be 43 days left in the Duterte administration but the DOTr, together with its attached agencies, will continue to work and implement vital projects and initiatives to achieve unprecedented heights of connectivity and mobility to make the Filipino life convenient and comfortable.
