LOCAL Government Secretary Benhur Abalos has confirmed the arrest of the suspect in fatal shooting of a driver in Edsa-Ayala tunnel road rage on Wednesday.
In a press conference at the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Abalos said that the PNP, through the NCRPO, swiftly launced an intensive follow-up operation that led to the immediate arrest of the suspect – Gerard Raymond Talusan Yu, in the Makati road rage.
The suspect was presented to the media at Camp Crame. He was arrested at his residence in Pasig City, during the follow-up operation by intelligence operatives.
Yu was the driver of a black Mercedes-Benz with the personalized plate number BCS 77 (real plate number EAP 9670) that opened fire on the Toyota Innova at the Ayala southbound tunnel during a traffic altercation, killing its 65-year-old unidentified driver. His passengers were a housemaid and a boy, 7, whose identities have been withheld.
