HUNDREDS of devotees are converging on Quiapo Church today to participate in the traditional blessing of replicas of the Black Nazarene.
With a large crowd expected, the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazarene is reminding all attendees to strictly follow designated entrance and exit points to ensure a safe and orderly event.
The blessing ceremony is scheduled to commence at 1:30 PM and will be held along the Quezon Boulevard footbridge, according to church officials.
To manage the influx of devotees, the Manila Police District (MPD) has released a monitoring report outlining the specific entry points for those carrying replicas:
- Rizal Avenue corner Carriedo St., Plaza Miranda, and Quezon Boulevard
- Plaza Lacson, Carlos Palanca Villalobos St., Plaza Miranda leading to Quezon Boulevard
- Carlos Palanca Quinto Market Quezon Boulevard Southbound under Quezon Bridge, directly to Quezon Boulevard
Exit points will be located along Quezon Boulevard via:
- P. Paterno St.
- Gonzalo Puyat (Raon)
- Sales Ronquillo St.
- Recto Avenue
