(UPDATE) A TEEN actor and two others died while another is fighting for his life after their car sideswiped another vehicle, losing control and slamming into a subdivision gate in Quezon City early Friday morning, police said.
Cpl. Jen Mark Benito of the District Traffic Enforcement Unit and case officer identified the fatalities as Paulo Bueza; Andrei Sison, 17; and Arman Velasco.
A fourth passenger, identified as Josh Ford, is in critical condition at the East Avenue Medical Center.
Actress TV host Karla Estrada is mourning for the loss of his nephew Sison. Ford is also a nephew according to entertainment reports.
They were on board a BMW sedan, which was either driven by Bueza or Velasco, according to police.
Initial investigation showed that at about 2:30 a.m., the victims were traveling along Commonwealth Avenue from Fairview and were headed to Philcoa when the accident happened.
Benito said the BMW sedan sideswiped the right rear portion of a Ford Ecosport driven by Jeremiah Lopez, an accountant and city resident.
This caused the BMW to lose control, hitting the gate of the nearby Intramuros subdivision.
It was not immediately known if Lopez sustained injuries.
“Due to the impact of the incident, the driver and passengers sustained multiple injuries,” Benito said.
A case of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicides, serious physical injury, and damage to property will be filed against Lopez.
Sison’s talent agency, Sparkle GMA, expressed its condolences to his family and loved ones.
Earlier in the day, Sparkle posted the news on its Instagram page.
“Sparkle GMA Artist Center sadly announces the passing of one of its teen artists, Andrei Sison, due to a car accident early this morning,” it said.
The talent agency said Sison was a “well-loved and much-cherished member” of their family.
“We request everyone to respect his family’s privacy in this time of great loss and join us in praying for the eternal repose of his soul,” it said.
