PASSENGERS at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 can now enjoy free pure fiber wifi at the airport as broadband provider Converge on Tuesday launched its free broadband program.
During its launch, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said Converge will expand its free wifi services at the NAIA Terminals 1 and 2 in the coming months.
Bautista said that Converge CEO Dennis Uy made good on his promise to provide free wifi services at the airport as it is important for passengers and the airport as well.
“This new dimension of connectivity will be much appreciated by the hundreds of passengers, allowing the airport to go a notch higher in global standards,” the transport chief said.
Public-private partnerships such as the free wifi program will benefit Filipinos, he added.
Bautista encouraged similar partnerships with other private entities to improve the country’s rail lines, bus terminals and seaports throughout the country.
“I hope this will signal the start of other collaborations to improve the service of airports, seaports, bus terminals and rail systems,” Bautista said.
