THE criminal complaints filed against contractor Sarah Discaya and several engineers from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Davao Occidental have been transferred to the Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu.
Supreme Court (SC) spokesperson Camille Ting stated that the transfer is in accordance with the Court’s policy of assigning corruption-related cases involving infrastructure projects to the anti-graft court of the nearest judicial region.
“The determination of the nearest judicial region shall be made by the presiding or executive judge concerned,” Ting said. Discaya has been implicated in the alleged ghost flood control projects in Davao Occidental.
