A CLUB disc jockey was killed in a shooting incident at a gas station in Barangay Pamplona Uno, Las Piñas City on Wednesday evening, GMA Integrated News’ Jhomer Apresto reported on Unang Balita Thursday.
CCTV footage shows the 34-year-old victim, in his pickup truck, at the gas station around 10 p.m. when two men on a motorcycle approached.
The backrider dismounted, approached the victim’s vehicle, and shot him. The suspects then fled on their motorcycle, while the victim’s truck collided with a wall at the gas station.
The victim was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Las Piñas Police chief Police Colonel Sandro Tafalla stated that investigators are exploring a possible drug connection, as sachets of suspected illegal drugs were found on the victim’s person and in his bag.
The police are investigating whether the victim was followed from his home. The victim’s mother, who stated her son had recently returned from Malaysia, said she had no knowledge of who might be responsible for the shooting.
Authorities are conducting operations to apprehend the suspects.
