A BUS crashed into a railing injuring five passengers after it avoided a police car entering the EDSA busway, according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The passengers were brought to the Labor Hospital as they sustained scratches and lumps, and also suffered from dizziness. They have already been discharged.
Captured in CCTV footage, the bus was seen traversing the EDSA busway when a police car suddenly appeared, entered the busway, and almost hit the bus.
The bus avoided the police car and hit the fence of Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) at Santolan Station southbound.
Due to this, the DOTr reminded motorists with vehicles authorized to use the EDSA busway to be careful and prioritize the safety of their passengers.
