FOREIGN reinforcements in the Premier Volleyball League are now cleared to play, after all International Transfer Certificates were officially signed and activated, allowing imports to join their teams in the 2025 Reinforced Conference.
The Philippine National Volleyball Federation completed the endorsements for all foreign and Filipino-American athletes by 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, enabling teams to field their full rosters for the rest of the tournament.
The move comes a day after several clubs were forced to compete without their foreign players.
ZUS Coffee’s Anna DeBeer, Akari’s Annie Mitchem, Choco Mucho’s Anyse Smith, and Capital1’s Oleksandra Bytsenko all missed their opening-day matches, leaving their teams to rely solely on all-Filipino lineups.
The absences were due to pending ITCs, which are required by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball for foreign athletes to play professionally abroad.
Competing without the certificates could have risked sanctions and affected players’ international eligibility.
