
In the aftermath of Typhoon Egay, Cordillera Administrative Region is now witnessing an active clearing operation in Burnham Park, Baguio City and a Search and Rescue operation in the Municipality of Buguias in response to a landslide incident involving a residential building.
THE House Committee on Appropriations shall conduct deliberations on the Substitute Bill entitled, “An Act Strengthening The Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction And Management System, Amending For The Purpose Republic Act No. 10121, Otherwise Known As The “Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction And Management Act Of 2010”.
The bill introduced by Rep. Alan Ecleo, House Speaker Martin Romualdez, and their co-authors shall legislate necessary amendments to the country’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Policy, eliminating red tape and making disaster response more efficient.
Ecleo shall deliver a sponsorship speech as one of the primary authors and the Chairperson of the Disaster Resilience Committee.
The deliberations shall be held at Daniel Z. Romualdez Hall, 2/F, Main Building, Batasan Pambansa Complex on March 13, 2024, Wednesday.
The hearing shall be attended by the Members of the Committee, the Bill’s authors, and representatives from relevant National Government Agencies.
