SINABI ng Department of Health na aabot sa higit 50 milyon ang nasirang bakuna hanggang sa katapusan ng Marso.
“I confirm this would be the amount if we already include those to expire until the end of March this year,” ayon kay DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire nang tanungin ni Senador Francis Tolentino sa Senate Blue Ribbon Committee ngayong Huwebes.
Sa 50.74 milyong nasira na bakuna na binanggit ni Tolentino, 44 milyon ang expired na habang ang 6.74 milyon naman ang mag-e-expire ngayong Marso.
“We are still awaiting from the manufacturers and the FDA [Food and Drug Administration] if these [quarantined vaccine doses] can be allowed to have an extension of the shelf life,” sabi ni Vergiere.
