FORMER police colonel Royina Garma departed for Malaysia on Sunday, September 7, according to a report from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Garma left the country as a tourist bound for Kuala Lumpur.
She has been subject to an immigration lookout bulletin since November 15, 2024, due to her alleged involvement in separate cases dating back to 2020 and 2016.
Garma is considered one of the masterminds in the killing of former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board secretary Wesley Barayuga in July 2020.
Garma had recently returned from the United States, where she reportedly applied for asylum last year.
She previously revealed the alleged implementation of a “reward system” during the height of former President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial war on drugs.
Her departure for Malaysia raises questions about potential legal proceedings and her possible intentions given the outstanding cases against her.
