THE FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist gained strong public support through a vibrant signature campaign aimed at upholding the advocacy of the late Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ) in the field of public service.
The initiative, led by the Volunteer Poe Kami Movement, recorded a significant achievement in gathering signatures, with more than 300,000 of the 500,000 signatures coming from loyal supporters from various communities.
The widespread participation covered major cities in the NCR (National Capital Region), the provinces of Rizal and Cavite, and especially FPJ’s hometown in the third district of Pangasinan, showing a strong connection and dedication to his legacy of public service.
Ricky Mallari shared the importance of this historic step: “We at the Volunteer Poe Kami Movement began in 2003 when Da King ran for office.”
He emphasized their commitment, “We started our advocacy in support of the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist.” According to him, they had already gathered more than 300,000 signatures—exceeding the required number—and called for continued support: “This doesn’t even include the supporters of the 2nd nominee from Batangas and the 3rd nominee from Mindoro.”
At a gathering, Brian Poe, the first nominee of the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist and the grandson of Fernando Poe Jr., personally received the 300,000 signatures, as well as an additional 200,000 from various groups.
He shared the timeless legacy of their family. In his heartfelt speech to supporters, he emphasized the importance of community unity and collective ownership of the partylist.
“This partylist is ours. Because you signed and helped in the campaign, this is your partylist. What we’re going to do here is address the needs of our fellow citizens. We started with consultations with various sectors, asking about the people’s needs,” said Mallari.
“If you appreciated the service of the Poe family, if you believe that FPJ’s legacy should continue, vote for and support the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist. This is not like other partylists that suddenly filed for candidacy—we have long been helping people. Thousands have already been helped, even as early as 2013 when Senator Grace Poe took office—we were already going around providing assistance,” he added, demonstrating their ongoing efforts to help the masses.
“The job of a Congressman is not just to provide aid. It’s to craft laws that will benefit all our fellow Filipinos. And the great thing about a partylist, like these signatures coming from different parts of the country,” he added.
“We’re not focused on just one district, one municipality, or one city. The partylist covers the whole nation, and the responsibility of a Congressman representing a partylist is nationwide,” he explained, highlighting the broad advocacy and duties of a partylist representative.
Although the partylist is deeply rooted in Pangasinan, Brian assured supporters that their mission goes beyond regional boundaries, and they will continue serving communities throughout the country.
He stressed their promise to serve all Filipinos, wherever they are in the country, believing that positive change can be achieved through unity and prioritizing the needs of every community.
