Tingog’s final leg of thanksgiving concert series draws massive crowd in Tacloban City

admin March 5, 2023

THE final leg of the series of thanksgiving concerts sponsored by Tingog Party list came to a successful conclusion in Tacloban City as it drew a massive crowd that overflowed the event’s venue at RTR Plaza on Saturday.

Dubbed “Tingog ng Pasasalamat,” the party list staged the 4-leg concert series as a gesture of its gratitude for the support it received in the May 2022 elections, which entitled the party to two seats in the House of Representatives.

Speaker and Leyte’s 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, who attended the event, thanked the Leyteños for their support as he also acknowledged the important contributions of Tingog Party list in the effort of the House to pass legislation meant to improve the lives of Filipinos.

“I am happy to see this huge crowd that trooped here to enjoy this concert. I am truly thankful for your display of support. Let me assure you that we will continue to work closely with Tingog to uplift the lives not only of the people of Leyte but inclusive progress for the entire country,” Speaker Romualdez said.

For her part, Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez gave assurance that Tingog will continue to deliver its distinct brand of service, particularly to those who need it the most.

“You can be assured that Tingog will remain true to its avowed objective of bringing about hope, change, and progress to our communities. Maraming salamat po sa patuloy na suporta,” she said.

Rep. Acidre also thanked the Leyteños not only for the massive turnout at the concert but also for their cooperation and a warm welcome to Tingog workers visiting their communities to provide assistance.

The event showcased local talents like Remo Tribe, Outcast Musicians, J&J, Jaydi, and Phonics.

In between the performances, raffles were held where lucky members of the audience won various prizes, including electronic gadgets.

For the highlight of the show, the audience was treated to the rousing performances of actress-singer Karla Estrada, Master Rapper Andrew E, and Pinoy rock icon Bamboo, along with the Plethora band.

It was in Cebu City where the first leg of the free concerts kicked off last February 12, while the second in the series was staged in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte last February 17.

The penultimate leg of the series was held at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City last February 25.
