TWENTY EIGHT- year- old Filipina beauty Maureen Montagne bested over 40 candidates to win Miss Globe 2021, early Saturday morning (Manila time) in Tirana, Albania.
Montangne’s win comes on the heels of Cinderella Faye Obeñita’s triumph at the Miss Intercontinental exactly a week ago, adding to the impressive performance of Filipinas in the international pageant this year.
Nigeria’s bet Esther Gabriel was first runner-up, Turkey’s Melike Bali was second runner-up, Venezuela’s Jhosskaren Carrizo Smiler was third runner-up, and Canada’s Hailey Hamelin-Wilson was fourth runner-up.
This is the third time for the Philippines to bag the crown, after Maricar Balagtas in 2001 and Ann Colis in 2015.
