
ALEX Eala, the 20-year-old Filipino tennis sensation, etched her name in history by capturing her first Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) title at the Guadalajara 125 Open in Mexico.
After a rocky start, Eala demonstrated remarkable resilience and composure, overcoming Hungary’s Panna Udvardy in a thrilling three-set battle, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.
This victory marks a significant milestone for Eala, making her the first Filipina to win a WTA championship.
