THE Department of Justice is getting the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) involved in tracking down suspects for the killing of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo.
Alleged mastermind Rep. Arnie Teves has refused to fly back to the Philippines after heading to the US days before the ambush in Degamo’s home happened, saying he is scared for his safety.
DOJ spokesperson Mico Clavano said they will seek the Interpol’s blue notice, which will get the international body to share any information they can get regarding the suspects.
“We hope to do that maybe next week just so that we are aware ‘no doon sa movements ng ating mga respondents who may very well be involved in the Degamo slay and who may be vital doon sa ating investigation,” the lawyer said.
