THE Department of Health (DOH) is urging the public to be vigilant against scammers and individuals posing as “fixers” for the Zero Balance Billing (ZBB) program.
Hilboy and Angela are among the over 2,000 patients at the East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) who have benefited from the ZBB program since President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced it in his State of the Nation Address (SONA).
As the program’s implementation intensifies, DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa is also cautioning the public against scammers and fixers who are exploiting the program to deceive people.
The Secretary advises the public to directly contact the Billing Section of DOH-hospitals for ZBB inquiries. The program does not involve fixers, and the DOH does not send text messages regarding the implementation of ZBB.
