MOTORISTS should prepare for another increase in gasoline prices this week, marking the 34th hike this year.
In separate advisories issued on Monday, Shell Philippines, Petro Gazz, Caltex, Cleanfuel, and Seaoil announced that gasoline prices would increase by P1.20 per liter on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
The adjustment will take effect in most oil firms beginning at 6 a.m., except for Cleanfuel, which will implement the changes at 4:01 pm. There will be no changes in the prices of kerosene and diesel.
This marks the second consecutive week that gasoline prices have increased, further straining the budgets of Filipino motorists. With the latest price hike, the estimated retail pump prices of gasoline in Metro Manila are expected to range from P52.95 to P73.09 per liter, compared to the prevailing price range of P51.75 to P71.89 per liter.
